Assignment # 6 Dirk Graham<33

The person I chose is Dirk Graham. Dirk Graham was born on July 29, 1959 in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. Dirk is a former Canadian hockey player. He played for the Minnesota North Stars and the Chicago Blackhawks. He was also the first African to be named captain of the Chicago Blackhawks. After playing hockey for 16 years (1979-1995) he decided to retire and become the new head coach of Chicago. While playing with the Blackhawks, Dirk won the Frank J. Selke Trophy in 1990. Dirk's family was a mixed-race family. Dirk was actually drafted 89th overall by the Vancouver Canucks in 1979 but was traded to Minnestoa.

Assignment Number Five It's So Cold<3

My parents are both immigrants. Both of my parents cam at different times. My mom came to Canada in 1994 and my dad came in 1989. When my mom came to Canada her first impression was it was very cold and the snow in Ethiopia was very different from the know in Canada. For example, one day it was snowing and the next day my mom she saw be the window it was sunny outside. So she thought it looked like summer because she came in the summer time. Then she was getting ready for school without a jacket. The only thing my mom wore was a mini skirt,high heels, and a t-shirt. Then she was walking to the bus stop on her way to school. After she got to the bus stop she noticed that it was very cold and that she was not well dressed. Then one of my moms friend saw her waiting at the bus stop and asked her "Is that what you wore today to school". Then later my moms friend told her that in Canada the weather is different then Ethiopia and that you have to dress more properly.

In bad weather the waves tossed the ship about. People became seasick and were unable to eat. Many brought their own food. Food spoiled and was unsafe to eat. On some ships food was served to the passengers. People slept in bunks that were put up along the side walls of the ship.Their belongings were placed on the bunks during the day and on the floor at night. There were only a few toilets and washbasins provided. The passengers were unable to wash themselves or wash their clothes. They wore the same clothes for days.

Okay so I just read some of my classmates blogs and I really liked some of them. I will tell you some of them and I hope that you check them out. Oh and if you would like then I think you should comment on what you liked about it.

So I really liked Alma's Blog because I think that she really thought about what she thinks will happen. What I really like was when she said "There will be more inventions" and there probably will be in the future.

Also, I liked Rania Blog and when she said "there will be more respect towards black people". Which I also think will happen in the future.

Assignment Number Three:)<33 What Will The World Be In 2109?

Oh hey there again,


So what I am doing is I am going to tell you readers about my opinion on what the world will be like in one hundred years. Here are a list of things on what I think is gonna happen.

1. One thing I think will happen is since Barack Obama just became the first African-American president of the United States maybe there might be a first Asian-American President of the United States.
   
2. Maybe there will be less pollution in the world.
3. What I'm hopping is that people will abolish racism, it will no longer be allowed and there will be less discrimination in the world.
